The portable type is advantageous because it saves a lot of time and money. In fact, if the doctor is having to perform several MRI scans in a day, then he will be able to save a lot of money if he is using the portable scanner. Moreover, the portable type is very flexible and easy to handle as it can be moved anywhere. Even, it is very easy to adjust and to use as compared to the in-ground type.
The In-ground type is also called the in-cabinet and is a new type of this machine which is being used in some medical centres. This is used extensively in the USA as well.
